OK, I don't get unemployment. Hell, I haven't worked 'a real job' this century. But my buddy's kid qualifies, or did.

The unemployment rate in California dropped just enough that the state no longer qualifies for Federal unemployment extensions. As of May 12. 2012 100,000 Californians are gonna lose a 'paycheck', or as the Mexicans refer to it 'gana', urban males call it a 'money day', and the Feds formal identify as a 'transfer payment'.

Yup, sayonara California dreamin'.

Wait until this hiccough percolates through the crime statistics......
